The brief
The site had to carry a large volume of photographs, split the work clearly by genre, and for weddings show the whole story of the day rather than a few selected frames. At the same time it had to stay calm enough that nothing distracts from the photos — no effects that outshout the content.
The solution
The structure mirrors what the photographer offers: weddings, couples, maternity and newborn sessions, families, portraits, sport and personal work. Visitors go straight into the genre they care about instead of scrolling one huge gallery.
Weddings have a layer of their own — each wedding is a separate page with the full report. A couple can walk through the entire day from the preparations to the evening, which matters far more when choosing a photographer than a random selection of shots.
The visual style is deliberately quiet: light surfaces, airy typography and a minimum of extra elements. I optimised the large photographs so the site loads quickly even on mobile data, which is where most visits from social media come from.
